Terms of use.

The agreement between you and Northbook covering access, fees, payouts and the limits of what we promise.

Updated 11 August 2026

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Northbook website and service. By requesting access or using an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and access

You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract, and not resident in a jurisdiction we are unable to serve or that is subject to applicable sanctions.

Access is granted manually and at our discretion. Submitting an access request does not create an account, a contract to provide one, or any payment obligation. We may decline an application without giving reasons.

You must give accurate information and keep it current. One account per person; accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

3. What the service is

Northbook provides a skills evaluation and, on passing, a simulated funded account with a profit share. It is a simulated trading environment. You are not buying, selling or holding any financial instrument, cryptocurrency or security through Northbook, and you have no ownership of any underlying asset.

Northbook is not a broker, exchange, bank or investment adviser. Nothing on the site is investment advice or a solicitation to trade. We do not accept customer deposits, and the fee you pay is a service fee, not a deposit or an investment.

4. Fees

The evaluation fee is one-time and is quoted before you commit. It is returned in full with your first payout. Reset fees, if you choose to reset after a breach, are published in the rulebook at a flat rate.

Fees are non-refundable once an evaluation has begun, except where the law requires otherwise or where we cancel the service ourselves.

5. Your obligations

6. Profit share and payouts

Your share of simulated profit starts at 80% and may rise to 90%. Payouts settle in USDC to a wallet you control, executed on-chain. You are responsible for providing a correct address; transfers to an address you supply cannot be reversed.

You are solely responsible for any taxes arising from amounts you receive.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the rulebook, that we are legally required to close, or where we reasonably suspect fraud. Where we act on suspected prohibited activity we will tell you what we observed and give you an opportunity to respond before a final decision.

You may stop using the service at any time. Amounts already settled on-chain are not clawed back.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that market data will be free of delay or inaccuracy.

Performance disclosure. Evaluation and funded accounts are simulated. Hypothetical and simulated results have inherent limitations, do not represent actual trading, and are no indication of future results. Trading derivatives, including cryptocurrency perpetual futures, involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Northbook is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost opportunity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. General

We may amend these terms; material changes will be notified by email or on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
