What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it and what you can ask us to do about it.

Updated 11 August 2026

1. Who we are

Northbook operates this website and the evaluation and funded-account service described on it. In this policy, "we" means Northbook and "you" means anyone who submits information to us or uses the service.

Entity registration and the identity of the data controller are being finalised. [PLACEHOLDER - legal entity and controller details]

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Information created by using the service

We do not collect payment card details on this site, and we never ask for a wallet private key or seed phrase. Nobody at Northbook will ever request one.

3. Why we collect it

PurposeData used
Deciding whether to grant accessIdentity, contact, jurisdiction
Identity and sanctions screeningName, date of birth, ID document
Operating your accountTrading and account data
Paying youWallet address, payout records
Fraud and abuse preventionTechnical data, trading patterns
Legal and regulatory obligationsIdentity and transaction records

Where the law requires a lawful basis, we rely on performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in running the service securely. Marketing email is sent on consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with:

On-chain payouts are public. Settlement leaves a permanent, publicly visible record of the wallet address and amount on a blockchain. We cannot delete or alter that record, and anyone can view it.

5. How long we keep it

Access requests that we decline are deleted within 12 months. Account, trading and payout records are kept for the life of the account and for the period afterwards that financial and anti-money-laundering rules require, typically at least five years. Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows.

Some requests we cannot fully satisfy: we must keep identity and transaction records to meet legal obligations, and we cannot remove anything already settled on a public blockchain.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to staff who need it, and identity documents are held separately from trading data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you and the law requires it, we will notify you.

8. Contact

Privacy questions and rights requests: privacy@northbook.com. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to your local data protection authority.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or on this page, and the date at the top will change.
